多様化する情報化社会に居て、ろくに使えないiPhone Xを持ってみたり時代の流れにしがみついている私ですが、担当委員長になりMy Rotaryへのアカウント登録をしたのは３年前でした。当時の地区委員会で利用推進をはかり委員長会議で登録の要請をされていたのだと思います。月間スピーチにお招きした地区委員長の話も記憶にあります。しかし地区では2012年からの取り組みですが、登録会員数はまだまだだそうです。そもそもアメリカとインドが構築したもので、米山奨学金など日本独自のプログラムはフォローされていないそうです。ただそんなことより、このシステムは凄い奴で地区やクラブの運営それにかかわる会員の管理などができ、バックデータを残し情報として活用するもの、会長・幹事・関係委員長など限られた役職のアカウントでは運営についてかなりのことができます。その他の会員でも膨大な情報を利用することができます。例えば広報委員会のツールはもちろん国際大会への登録、グローバル補助金の申請や会員増強についてもその手法、事例、ツールがとても豊富です。卓話の資料や事業計画などのダウンロード等、様々な使い方ができます。手を伸ばせば世界の地域の課題や奉仕事業、歴史までもです。
現在大津RCは入会３年未満の会員が50人以上もおられます。そしてその多くは新しい世代の会員だと思います。抵抗なく対応できるのではないでしょうか？ロータリアンとして大変役立つ情報源です。会員の皆様もまずはアカウント登録をして是非活用してみてください。また違った角度からロータリーを知り、活動の幅が広がることと思います。
